Back in November I switched to a much more raw vegetarian, bordering on vegan, diet. I don't know if I've gotten lax or what, but my stomach asks for some really weird stuff sometimes! I ate almost an entire bag of chips (crisps) last night - the large bag.. not the individual serving size. Is it just hot, and I needed the salt? Or did I crave excitement in my food? Anyway, when the stomach starts screaming, it's very difficult to shut it up.

A-camping we will go...
Hubs has convinced me to book some time in a campground... over the long weekend.. I am less than exuberant about going anywhere/ doing anything on a long weekend. I hate traffic and crowds. I know - I'm a party pooper of the worst order. This is to encourage and refresh my darling hubs and probably to do me some good too - grouse grouse grumble grumble!

A few of my favourite things
There are some items in my house that some would say it's time to throw it out. These items are old, used, broken-in, loved. There is my old Bible- bound in a dark red leather,gold-leaf onion skin pages, broken spine, maps falling out, hi-liter everywhere. My rough-looking old sweater and cap, my jeans, and Jesus.

2 months til the wedding!
My middlest baby will be married in 2 months. They've been living together for a few years now, but somehow it seems it will be more special, even more wonderful when they say 'I do'. It's a weird year for me - both sets of parents of the couple are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversaries, my sis turns 40, and I turn 50. My eldest daughter will be moving farther away, my boy will likely be moving to Edmonton, and we may be moving to Calgary. I will have to guard against stress related illness: *makes note to increase parsley and kale, raisins and molasses intake*. There is only one way to combat stress; I suspect it is by joyful celebration of all the changes, most of which are not really changes per se, but changes in scenery as we float down life's river.
